Rebel Rescue South Korea will consider adoptive families in Korea, the United States, Europe, and Canada. International adoptions require additional fees and lots of coordination. You must be patient and willing to travel to pick up your pet as we are currently only able to fly pets to certain airports.
Our goal is to make the best rescue match taking into consideration the dog or cat's background and your family's needs. Every dog or cat is different: personality, temperament, energy, comfort with kids and other animals, medical needs and more. We take all these factors into consideration when making a furever-home match. We are very careful about the placements we make. We do our best to match the right dog or cat with the right adoptive home because we want this to be the pet's permanent home.
We appreciate you wanting to bring a pet into your home! In order for us to find the right pet for you, we need you to submit an adoption application.
We will review your application upon receipt. If we have any questions or concerns, we will contact you for clarity.
Once your application has been reviewed, the search for your dog or cat begins. Volunteers will begin to evaluate pets currently in our foster program who may be a good fit for you and your family. We would also be open to discussing dogs and cats in our care that you are specifically interested in, but we ask that you be open to our recommendations as well
Once your application is approved, a Rebel Rescue South Korea volunteer will contact you to schedule a time to come to the shelter to meet your potential matches. If the pet is in a foster home, arrangements will be made for you to visit the pet in the foster home.
Once we’ve found the pet for you, the adoption contract is signed and the fee is paid. Post-adoption support for your new dog is also available!
RRSK provides ongoing post-adoption support to adopters through a partnership with Dog Works Training Co. and its structured training resources, including The Pack Program by Alaska Dog Works.
This support is designed to assist adopters in building a consistent, structured training routine and strengthening the relationship between adopter and dog. The program emphasizes owner-led training, behavior management, and long-term success through continued guidance and follow-up support.
Adopters are encouraged to actively utilize these resources and maintain engagement with the program to ensure the ongoing safety, stability, and well-being of the dog in the home.
RRSK remains available to provide guidance, answer questions, and help connect adopters with appropriate training resources as needed following adoption.
