When you foster with Rebel Rescue South Korea, you’re not just giving an animal a temporary home—you’re giving them a chance at a brand-new life. To make sure each pet stays safe, happy, and healthy, we ask all fosters to follow these important guidelines:
Location Requirement
To ensure we can support our fosters and animals effectively, all foster homes must be located within 50 kilometers of Pyeongtaek. This allows us to coordinate transportation, vet care, and meet and greets with ease.
Basic Care
- Provide clean water, nutritious food, shelter, and love.
- Animals must live indoors and sleep inside at night. Tethering outside is never allowed.
- Maintain the animal’s current name and do not alter their appearance (e.g., no cropping, declawing, or dyeing).
Health & Hygiene
- Keep the animal clean with regular bathing, nail trimming, and grooming. RRSK may assist if needed, but professional grooming is at your own expense unless otherwise arranged.
- If the animal appears ill or injured, contact us immediately. Do not seek independent veterinary care without approval—we cannot reimburse unapproved expenses.
Safety
- Dogs must be walked on a secure leash with a properly fitted harness or collar. A collar must be worn at all times.
- Cats must remain indoors.
- If the animal is lost due to negligence, you may be required to offer a $250 reward.
- You are responsible for arranging safe care if you need to travel. Boarding/pet-sitting must be coordinated with us and is at your own cost.
Adoption Support
- Participate in meet-and-greets, adoption events, and vet appointments (or help us coordinate transport).
- Post public updates and photos on social media at least twice per month to help your foster find their forever home.
- Respond to our messages within 24 hours and provide biweekly updates.
- Foster animals remain the legal property of RRSK. You may not rehome, give away, or adopt out the animal without our involvement.
- All adoptions must go through RRSK’s official process and be approved by us.
Final Notes
- Fostering is at your own risk. We do our best to assess behavior and health, but cannot guarantee any animal’s temperament, age, or breed.
- RRSK reserves the right to visit your home and request the animal’s return at any time if terms are not being met.
