I'm ready for my new family!

Hi! My Name Is Reese

I'm Available

At first, Reese may be shy in new environments, but with patience and kindness, her sweet and silly personality begins to shine through. She’s incredibly food motivated and will happily spin and dance for her favourite treats! She already knows “sit” and “paw” and is eager to continue learning, especially if snacks are involved.

Reese is calm and generally low-energy, happiest in a peaceful home where she can move at her own pace. She enjoys solving puzzles, sniffing around quiet grassy areas, relaxing in cozy nap spots, and following her favourite humans from room to room out of curiosity. Once she feels safe, she absolutely loves chest scratches, belly rubs, and gentle affection — and may even paw at you for more pets if you stop too soon.

Reese gets along well with other dogs and cats and would especially benefit from having a calm, confident canine sibling to help guide her. Because of her sensitive nature and medical needs, she would do best in a quiet home without young children.

Reese does have several ongoing medical conditions that will require a dedicated adopter committed to her care. She is blind in her right eye due to glaucoma and currently receives eye drops and pain medication daily to keep her comfortable. She recently underwent dental surgery with multiple extractions and also has a luxating patella, meaning she should avoid stairs and jumping and may require future orthopedic care. She is currently taking joint supplements and doing well.

City life can feel overwhelming for Reese, so she would thrive in a calm home with a predictable routine, patient adopters, and ideally a fenced yard where she can safely explore and build confidence. Though independent at times, Reese forms strong bonds with the people she trusts and has so much love to give.

Reese is looking for a compassionate family willing to support her special needs and celebrate all the small victories alongside her. In return, she’ll reward you with loyalty, quiet companionship, and the sweetest little dances at treat time.
